Portraits, Puppets,
and Popcorn!
Join Out of Our Hands Gallery, Prelude Academy of the Arts, and Corry's Artisan Chocolates for an afternoon of summer workshops in the visual, performing, and culinary arts! In this one day event, children ages 8-12 will experience three different classes:
Portraits: Learn how to create a self portrait using collage with professional artist, instructor, and art gallery owner Lee Taylor. All materials are provided for your child to create their own work of art to take home.
Puppets: Join music instructor and Prelude Academy owner Charlotte Lewis for an introduction to puppetry! After learning the basics of puppetry and its techniques, students will use professional puppets to create a fun musical production. A recording of this performance will be available after the workshop.
Popcorn: Look behind the scenes at Corry's Artisan Chocolates and learn all about chocolate from Corry herself! Students will create their own unique combination of popcorn and artisan chocolate - they will also have plenty of fun and flavorful toppings to choose from!
